Wabash National Corporation’s Cadiz Operation Receives ISO 14001:2004 Registration for Environmental Management

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nov. 3, 2015 – Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), a diversified industrial manufacturer and North America’s leading producer of semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems, today announced it has received ISO 14001:2004 registration for its operation in Cadiz, Kentucky, where it manufactures Transcraft and Benson brand platform trailers.

The ISO 14001:2004 standard, published by the International Organization for Standardization, is an international reference for environmental management requirements.

“Few things are more important than a clean environment, and ultimately, we want our customers and communities to understand that we are committed to verifiable environmental management,” said Brent Yeagy, group president for Wabash National’s Commercial Trailer Products. “This achievement was only made possible through the combined effort and dedication of each and every associate at Wabash National’s Cadiz operation.”

The ISO 14001:2004 standard provides organizations with the elements of an effective environmental management system that can be integrated with other management requirements to help them achieve environmental and economic goals. The overall aim of this International Standard is to support environmental protection and prevention of pollution in balance with socio-economic needs.

Wabash National was the first semi-trailer manufacturer in North America to receive the Environmental Management System Registration, which it received for its Lafayette operations first in June 2005 and, most recently, received re-certification in 2014.

“Achieving ISO 14001:2004 registration reflects our commitment to upholding world-class environmental standards in our manufacturing operations,” said Dick Giromini, Wabash National’s president and chief executive officer. “I am extremely proud of the entire team for their commitment and support of our ongoing sustainability initiatives.”

In addition to its ISO 14001:2004 registration, Wabash National’s Cadiz operation achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management in 2014, which the company’s Lafayette operation earned in 2012.
