Wabash National Celebrates 30th Anniversary

State and local leaders join company founders and leadership to commemorate milestone

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – April 23, 2015 – Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), a diversified industrial manufacturer and North America’s leading producer of semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems, held a 30th anniversary celebration on Friday, April 17, at its Ehrlich Innovation Center in Lafayette, Indiana. The event was attended by many of the company founders, several members of the company’s original startup team, as well as state and local community and business leaders.  

“It was a special evening for us and we were honored to have so many founding associates and members of the local community in attendance,” said Dick Giromini, Wabash National president and chief executive officer. “The passion, drive and customer commitment instilled by those founding pioneers live on through the organization today. We look forward to continued growth and success over the next 30 years and beyond.”

Among the number of city and state officials in attendance were State Senator Ron Alting, who presented Wabash National with an Indiana General Assembly Senate Resolution Fifty-Three congratulating the company on its 30th anniversary; State Representative Sheila Klinker, who presented an Indiana General Assembly Proclamation commemorating the company’s milestone; and Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski, who presented a commemorative plaque in recognition of the company’s contributions to the community over the last 30 years.

Incorporated on April 15, 1985, company founders set out with the original goal of building five trailers a day. Today, the company is North America’s largest manufacturer of semi-trailers, having produced over 57,000 trailers in 2014, and offers a wide range of transportation equipment under the Wabash, Transcraft, Benson, Beall, Walker, Brenner and Bulk brand names.
