Wabash National® Awards Key Suppliers

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nov. 4, 2010 – Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC) today announced that it presented awards to 14 of its top suppliers at the company’s annual supplier conference.

"The past year’s economic down cycle has had a significant impact on almost every organization in the industry," said Todd Gish, leader of supplier development at Wabash National. "This year’s awards recognize the suppliers who have had the vision and leadership to perform through the downturn and into this new growth cycle."

Eleven platinum awards were given to suppliers that demonstrated the essential aspects of supply chain performance in delivery, quality, cost, innovation and attitude. The recipients of these awards were: FedEx Freight, Meritor/Wabco, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Overseas Hardwoods, Truck-Lite, Hardebeck Trucking, Hynes Industries, Safety Solutions, Steel Dynamics, Valspar Corporation and Weldstar.

Earthwise and Technology Insight were presented with distinguished awards this year in recognition of their support of our business.

For the second consecutive year, Wabash National presented the 2010 Supply Chain Leadership and Performance Pinnacle Award to Hendrickson Trailer Suspension. This award is presented to the supplier who has shown: cost advantages through the implementation of new and alternative products; leadership in project implementation; team responsiveness at all levels of the organization; leadership in proactive solutions throughout the supply chain; and have positioned their organization as an extension of Wabash National.

"This year has been more difficult than ever due to the steep upward slope in volume demand for Wabash National products. The ability of our suppliers to manage through this dramatic change after idling resources and capacity has been most challenging," said Wabash National Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing Steve Miller. "Our award winners separated themselves this year not only through their performance but through acknowledging, supporting and embracing our vision and strategies. Our thanks go out to all of them. We are very appreciative of all of our suppliers who understand what a productive relationship means to both companies and those that have truly extended themselves to be a part of the Wabash National family."
